E-prime & Tobii NO.2

This is a current state of E-prime & Tobii project.

E-prime Tobii Extension package, first, seemed to work very well.

I noticed that E-prime does not have a function with which stimulus presentation can be done on multiple displays. So, I cound not see the status of paritipant' gaze points and physical eye position in the NIR cameras.

Then, I tried dual PC settings.
E-prime did work well in dual PC situation.
And,
I found that the eye status monitor did work from display PC and eye-tracker PC simulutaneously!!
Next, I checked whether dual time gaze display program in eye-tracker PC even when the experimental session is run on the Display PC.
The result was good at the moment, somehow, E-prime on display PC and Clear View on eye-tracker PC use the same tracking info., then experimental session reached the end without a serious problem.

Remained issues are as follows,

1. to check the gaze data of E-prime. this is for the validation of recordings.

2.Real time gaze view should use the participant's calibration profile, which is stored in Display PC. So, I have to export and import procedures to move it from Display PC to Eye-tracker PC.
It takes some time.

Great progress.

With regard to your last point, the display change progrem should run on the DIsplay PC, and it needs to get eye position from the tracker via the cable (ethernet?). I am not familiar with the calibration profile, but if it's on the display pc side, or it's a small and static file, then it shouldn't matter that much (for Python scripting, at least. I don't know how E-prime does display changes ...)
